30 years of success in Great Britain for Best Western

Best Western GB is turning 30-years-old and will be celebrating in style with exciting activity planned and great deals on offer for its customers.

In 1978, the same year in which the all time classic film Grease was launched Best Western Great Britain signed the deal with their American counterparts to franchise the brand. In fact, in true Hollywood style, the deal was signed on the bonnet of a car at Heathrow airport by the owner of the Best Western Ripon Spa Hotel, who is still in the brand today.

Who would have thought 30 years on, and from such humble beginnings, that it would be Britain's largest independently owned and managed hotel group.

Watch out for some great offers at the end of June, we are kept to secrecy at the moment but let's just say that they are certainly not worth missing!

Best Western Highfield Hotel changes its name

As of 1st June the Best Western Highfield hotel has changed its name to the Best Western Middlesbrough Hotel.

Set just 1.5 miles out of the centre of Middlesbrough, this hotel is ideally located for the Teesside region, whether you are staying on business or fancy a leisure break. All the hotels 23 bedrooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard with all modern conveniences installed.
